A group of guys from Team|RCMweb (The Internet Operation Team of Rahula College) including me, initiated “RahulaTV” – The web TV Channel of Rahula College. Our first broadcast was “Battle of Two Cities 2011″ – The 8th Cricket Bigmatch with St. Aloysius’ College of Galle.

Following is Dinamina’s article on the launch of RahulaTV, in which my name is incorrectly typed as “සුපුන් බුද්ධික” (Supun Buddhika) instead of “සුපුන් බුධාජීව” (Supun Budhajeewa). No wonder someone have “corrected” my name before printing, as they’ve probably not heard “Budhajeewa” as a name before, only I have it.

“Team|RCMweb” is the team of students of Rahula College, which’s responsibility is to handle online presence of The College.

I joined it in 2007, when I was in Grade 10, and am continuing to be a member. From 2009 I worked as the leader of the team.

Hopefully, I’ll continue to work for The Team as long as I am needed, even after I leave The College, as Team|RCMweb is different from other clubs and societies in a school, that it usually permitted old members to come and play roles when a special project is going on.

The team’s normal tasks are:

• Updating The College’s Website. - http://rahulacollege.org
• Maintaining The College’s online presences such as Facebook Page (http://facebook.com/rahulacollege), Twitter Profile (http://twitter.com/rahulacollege) and Wikipedia Article (Sinhala: http://si.wikipedia.org/wiki/රාහුල_විද්‍යාලය and English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahula_College).

Few of Special Tasks includes:

• Live streaming special events of The College through RahulaTV (http://tv.rahulacollege.org/), the web TV channel of The College.
• Live updating score of The Cricket Bigmatch.

Tools and Technologies used: This site runs with server side scripts written in PHP. Designing is done with Adobe’s Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

Maintenance: Updating the site is done upon client request with no limitations.

Special Notes: The logo of the company was not a part of web site designing. It was already designed by another service provider.
